WE ARE PROUD TO BE A PART OF VET THE VOTE

We are proud to be part of the #VetTheVote Coalition to recruit 100,000 veterans and family members to volunteer to be election poll workers. Our nation currently has a shortage of poll workers, so please help and become an election volunteer today. Find out more at www.VetThe.Vote.

Also known as Citizenship Day, Constitution Day (September 17th) is an American holiday honoring the day the United States Constitution was signed in Philadelphia on this day in 1787.

“This law urged civil and educational authorities of states, counties, cities and towns to make plans for the proper observance of the day and “for the complete instruction of citizens in their responsibilities and opportunities as citizens of the United States and of the State and locality in which they reside.”

For many reasons, this has not exactly become the norm in our society. Rest assured, First Amendment Voice is here to fill this void. We have put together quite the lineup of leaders and citizens alike to gather and further educate ourselves on the pandemic’s impact on how we express ourselves.

Panel #1
Spectrum of Engagement: Veteran Extremism to Vet the Vote

First, we’ll be joined by a panel of experts to further dissect the role of veterans in civic engagement. How broad is the spectrum? What is the relationship between veterans and extremism? This panel is also in cooperation with Vet the Vote who is leading a coalition to register 100,000 veterans and family members to register as poll members. What other ways do veterans engage constructively with the American Experiment?

Panel #2
Service Members, Veterans, and Religious Freedom

In our second panel, we’ll have the opportunity to listen to a panel on the experiences of service members and veterans with religious freedom. The panelists have a breadth of experience to draw upon to spark this intriguing conversation. What is the state of religious freedom for service members? What makes that experience unique?

Live streaming of the event will be available for those unable to attend in person.
